How weird is it for a 28 yr old girl and 18 yr old boy to date each other?

I was 16 and a half babysitting for some lady that I would always babysit for and when she got home the person that she went out with was another female and she was 47 she asked me if I wanted a ride home I said sure come to find out she only lived like two blocks from me it was her mom's house that she had inherited we didn't really tape but I went over to her house every night every other night and I didn't think it was weird I liked it

And then about a year later she told me that she was going to get back with her husband.

And I looked at her and I said husband I didn't know you were married and she said yes I thought I told you I said no anyway she explained everything to me and I was really kind of bummed out hurt and then the next night I went over and she introduced me to one of her friends who was 37 and we dated our we saw each other we didn't date for about a year and then I kind of quit going over to her house and stuff because I started racing dirt bikes and I just didn't really have that time anymore but no I thought it was great and I wouldn't change it for a thing

Quite weird. It feels like something that has almost no chance of working. They'd have to be exceptionally mature for their age or the gap is too wide there.
