A keeper is a person who's of high quality and has the ability to take care of and protect you, usually a person who can magically be a friend and a parent in one.

Your SO also needs to be your friend. But I know what you mean, you need a keeper as a friend and a keeper as an SO (both are close to you emotionally, but the SO with romantic feelings).

Well what makes a keeper is more subjective in my opinion, and there are a lot of different types too. I imagine some would mesh well with you and others wouldn't. It's not like just because they are a high quality person in your eyes that a romantic relationship with them is just somehow gonna work. There has to be chemistry, and both people has to have something that the other needs.

To be honest we all know where this is headed, this type of question is never gonna get a final answer because it's wrong to generalize people, I aim more to see the variety of comments I can get to at least attempt to draw some sort of pattern
