Why stay friends?

why does a guy stay friends with a girl he knows has liked him the whole time? Is this an ego boost?

Hard to say for sure without more context. Either way sis, you deserve someone who sees how amazing you are and wants all of you, not just the attention. Might be time to put yourself first and get some space if it's hurting you staying close. You got this!

Maybe it is just being nice, maybe he do not want to hurt you, I've been in same position before and I had to leave but she was not ready I could not watch my friend crying and just walk away... After all she forgot and she is now in a relationship with other guy, Maybe just you are very dear to him

It's so if he needs them he can have an easy friends with benefits. There is no platonic friends. If you ask him he will say given nothing and no change he would sleep with her.

No reason to be friends but who boost and easy girl to sleep with if he wants to latter.

I am one of those people that believe men and women can be friends. Feelings can make things awkward, but being that she told him, if he didn't do anything about it to move it forward. He just likes her friendship. As long as he puts his actual woman first, there isn't any issues.
