You should never ask a woman why things did not work out with her exes - that will almost always force them to lie or say something they don't want to say. Like when I went for a job interview, my friend did not ask me what the interview was for cause he saw my clothes and he knew it was not an IT or engineering gig. Don't ask people things that make them look bad.

If it’s just to flirt, then it’s not genuine. Guys flirt just to bang. How about don’t flirt with her and just be an open ear. Hear her and let her talk. Flirting is a seriously unattractive trait.
