No, she doesn't need to be equal at all. She just needs to have the ability to function as an adult. She would need to be able to drive the kids to school, or if there was an emergency she may need to drive for that. Driving is a necessity in my opinion. I wouldn't be with her 24/7 so I think it is important.

What the hell is wrong with young people nowadays? I couldn't wait to drive. Now I have a neice and nephew who are 18 and still have no desire to get a license. We let my oldest son decide on his own, but then more or less told him he was going to drivers ed when he was close to 17. We didn't give our other 2 sons a choice, I told them when they hit 14 1/2, they were going to drivers ed (that is how old you have to be here in Michigan). There is no reason for anyone not to know how to drive. Even if you don't drive on a daily basis, you should know how to do it.

BIG TURN OFF! Before meeting my roommates, it would not have been a big deal to me. However, I live with roommates who cannot drive (one is forever barred from driving, the other never learned how). It is annoying having to drive them to and from work AND try to balance my stuff. Where I live there is no public transportation so I have to drive them to work or else I would be stuck with all the expenses of the house by myself.

I'm working on it. Unfortunately, I live in one of the fastest growing cities in the nation so you have to make at least $60k a year to afford housing by yourself here. Also, I went through bankruptcy in 2021 so I am rebuilding credit.

Well on short I hit a pillar on the side of the road was hospitalized for 3 months, I could never drive again, usually feel bad just sitting in a car so very rarely I would get into one, my hands sweat, I can't breathe

I just never took the driver liscense. I have ADD and because of that I need to do eye test to check my reaction skills. It basically is lights blinkning on each side of the eye and I have to turn my head in the correct way. I failed big. But the guy didn't care so he signed me up anyways but I think I'd panic..
