Boyfriends parents treat him like a kid?

he’s 19.. still has a bedtime.. gets told when to brush his teeth.. has to ask permission to go out with friends.. is being forced to give his first entire paycheck to the church bc his mom says so. What do you think? i find this insane.

Some things are mut I got parents that are just jumpy I guess and they always ask where I go when I head out but that's cause I traumatized them at some point, maybe he has a similar experience so they are up his ass now

The tooth brushing and bedtime for his age would be a huge turn off... Parents fault or not. But the paycheck is massively abusive behaviour.

Is he doing okay? Financial and emotional control is very serious

That's a really tough situation for him... And for you as well. Definitely sounds like emotional abuse/coercion and also by the way he is speaking quite gas lighty as well

His parents sound hyper religious. Not much you can really do I don't think, but yea that's pretty messed up, he's in a sucky situation.
