More common than we realise. Of course, it is. There are tremendously huge amount of married people on dating apps. It usually happens behind the doors in secrecy, so there is no way to prove unless you have seen it or the cheater himself/herself confesses it.

In few countries where the constitution is based on religious beliefs, it is considered a crime under the name of adultery. It was a crime in the past; however, it is not nowadays. Personally, it is stupid and disrespectful to pursue a relationship if you don't have any feelings to your partner. If you are gonna cheat then don't marry lol.

The divorce rate is bad enough at around 50% and higher,

but the infidelity rate is even higher.

The reason why? It's because people are not monogamous creatures. We are polyamorous by DEFAULT. But no one was taught this as a kid, so they grow up thinking that they're obligated to be with one partner for life, until reality hits them in the face and they're in divorce court, divvying up the property, house, kids, pets, cars, etc..

Yes, of course. In fact, I've been cheated on in every relationship I've ever been in. To be honest, I wouldn't even break up over cheating any more. I've become lenient about this.
