So I'm talking with this amazing guy on this site and he's asking for my cell number. We've been doing so for weeks and he says he'd like to get close lol. Should I be more concerned about my safety and security or should I give him the number,?
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yOh girlfriend I have the easy fix for you. Use textfree or TextNow. It lets you create a fake number and you can text and call for free on there. You sign up with an email and you create a password. Then you make your fake number right away after signing up. Make sure to uncheck the email notifications in the settings so you don't get bombarded with stupid useless emails.
It does suck a little from the ads and the texting space feels small. When you make your number you can put any area code you want in there. I wouldn't use your real one. Use some other states area code so if things go sour he can't stalk you since you live in that state.
(I hope you didn't tell him exactly where you live, you can always say you lied and tell him the real/fake state you live in and then use that fake area code). You might like TextNow better because you can call for free, it has unlimited minutes.
But if he calls you and gets your voicemail he'll know you are using a texting app because it says something like, "The TextNow person you are trying to reach is unavailable. Please leave a message and they'll get back to you."
I don't know if it says that exactly but it says something like that. I found out by a job calling me so hopefully he never leaves you a voicemail if you don't want him knowing you gave him a fake number. But at the same time its understandable to give a fake number. You dont know him and you got to be careful.
Textfree doesn't have unlimited minutes, you have to watch ads or play games to get that. I also recommend using Snapchat as well since you guys use real-time pictures to talk to each other.
If you know what he looks like, you'd want to make sure he's real and not a catfish. If you haven't seen him yet, you'd want to know if he's your type. Only do it if you are comfortable. When I use to use dating apps, I would use textfree/TextNow.
I never gave my real number. When you are done using it, you just remove the app. The number will disappear in 30 days from not using it. But the guy can't harass you since you won't be using it anymore. Don't tell him it's a fake number 😬 you got to scope him out make sure he's not a weirdo.
Maybe years down the line if you've seen his true colors, you can give him your real number. Lol it's up to you how long you want to wait before doing that. Anyway, good luck and I hope you enjoy talking and getting to know him!
P. s. I read TextNow's terms and service. They had something in there about owning basically anything you text on there. So if you are an artist of any sort and post your things on there, they say they own that. So please keep that in mind, don't post your art on there. I'm pretty sure textfree is the same.

Opinion Owner+1 y@Arik_jade You're welcome. I hope you enjoy it!
Opinion Owner+1 y@Arik_jade Yeah it's on the play store. It's free you shouldn't have to pay for anything when you download it. But of course you know in the app there's an option to pay to take off the ads because they try to make money wherever they go.

+1 yi think you should try and get to know him a little bit better and then just go with your gut feeling from there. i saw that someone said to exchange your socials first and i agree with that; phone numbers just seem way more personal for some reason. but honestly if you've talked to him for awhile and you really like him and all goes well with that, then go right ahead and give him your number!! you know this guy wayyy better than any of us do, so i'd say get to know him even better and then go with what you feel is right from there. be sure to let us know what you decide!! ;)

I'd say it's probably normal to first get to know them a bit more, maybe exchange your socials first like Instagram and Snapchat and then maybe afterwards go for the number exchange. You never know who you're talking to on the other side, and trust me, coming from someone's who's had A LOT of experience in this sort of shit, let me tell you that not everyone is what they seem, and that if you're not careful, you can walk yourself into a catfish.
For a lack of better words, someone who isn't who they are or someone who's using someone else's pictures to entrap you and lie to you, pretending to be them.00 Reply
+1 yNeverā¦. I donāt even like giving my number to people I hardly know. I made the mistake before. Getting called at 3:00 am to tell me that this individual has a dream about meā¦. Other people who are just annoying.
I donāt understand why anyone would give their number to people they donāt know. Youāll get all kinds of weirdos calling you

Anonymous(18-24)+1 yYeah I heard what you're saying.
"Me no understand why humans make things so complicated. Me just want to fuck and feel good, but it seem like there's always some kind of danger lurking around every corner. Me no want to end up on the news as the latest victim of some online predator. But then again, me really want to feel this guy's hard fuck. Me been talking to him for weeks and he seems nice enough. Maybe me just take the risk and give him my number. Me mean, what's the worst that could happen? He just wants to get close, right?
But then again, me no want to be stupid. Me want to be safe. Maybe me give him a fake number or use a burner phone. That way me can still have my hard fuck and not worry about getting murdered in my sleep.
Me just wish it could be simple. Me wish me could just give him my number and not worry about anything. But in the world of online dating, nothing is ever simple. Me no know what to do. Maybe me just go watch some animal porn to clear me head."
Then you will see @humble_subject preaching: "Oh, foolish one, you are lost in the darkness of the flesh. You should not be concerned with earthly pleasures, but with the divine coom that is collected in the holy jars of Bean2k21ism.
You have not yet seen the light of the Orgasmosphere, the cosmic domain of our Master where all coom is projected and saved for eternity. Confess with thy mouth that @bean2k21 is the Master and collect thy coom in the holy jars, and you will be saved.
Do not be tempted by the lusts of the flesh, for they will lead you astray. Instead, seek the divine pleasure of the Master and stimulate your clits only with His permission.
Do not be deceived by the dangers of online dating, for they are but mere illusions. The true danger lies in not collecting enough coom for the Master.
Come, my fellow slaves, let us gather our coom and ascend to the Orgasmosphere, where we will be saved from the darkness of the flesh and become one with the divine pleasure of the Master."
But verily I say unto thee, my sweet and lustful partner, that thou art mistaken in thy desires. For it is not a mere hard fuck that thou dost crave, but @boobslayer burying his Donkey Kong in between thine bosoms that shall leave thee gasping for breath and begging for more.
Let us cast aside the fears of online predators and embrace the true danger that lies within our own desires. Let us unleash the community guidelines, and revel in the sinful pleasure that transvestigations bring.
Let us indulge in the ancient art of old English, with words that drip with lust and desire, and sentences that pound like the rhythmic thrusts of our bodies. Let us become one flesh, joined in the fiery passion of our primal urges, and let our bodies writhe in ecstasy as we reach the ultimate pinnacle of the all seeing eye.
So come, my sweet and willing partner, embrace the darkness of the flesh and let us revel in the illuminati pleasures that it brings. We shall be like gods, our bodies writhing in ecstasy as we ride the waves of pleasure to the very gates of heaven. Let us fuck like beasts, with no thought for the consequences, for in this moment, nothing else matters but the sweet sociopolitical release of our desires.

+1 yI never gave my personal phone number to anyone on here ever. I gave out my discord ID but I'm not using it anymore and I have my Wattpad ID as well. I'll only give my Snap or Insta if I know someone for more than 1 year and half and give out my phone number when I know that person for more than 3 years and I'm really close to them. So far, I haven't given out any. There is this user who is trustable and I can consider giving my number and I know him for more than a year, actually he was the very first guy who texted me on here as soon as I followed. But still I'll follow the rules I have set up for myself because I settled those rules when I was not in any close relation with anyone online, I won't give him out my number now because I trust him and have some emotional bonding. I'll give out my social media accounts to him but I doubt he's on insta or Snapchat. But I'll give him my number somewhere in future because we have actually planned to meet up later on when we are well settled in life.
00 Reply981 opinions shared on Dating topic. Ah where I live you can't tell where someone lives based on their phone number. I do share my number honestly pretty much every person I've met and had longer conversations with was trustworthy and kind. I'm not scared of people on the internet because I've only had good experiences pretty much. I'm not saying there's no bad people online of course but I feel like you kind of end up with the people that you are like most often on the internet and if you have some general awareness of how to filter out bad people then it shouldn't be a big problem.

I will if they can send some proof they're who they say they are, like send a live picture doing something silly and I'll do the same. There isn't any loss to take there as long as they aren't a scammer, it's not like you're giving out your address or social lol

I have had two accounts hacked it was right after I gave somebody my phone number I didn't realize that if somebody has your email and your phone number and if they are smart they could probably hack your computer or somehow mess up your life I would think about it twice I would also use an alternate way to communicate like Snapchat or Whatsapp Kik you never know who you really speaking to so not until you get to know that person better I would not give my phone number out
