Is it weird to ask someone else for their number?

i was planning on asking for this guys number but I didn't get the chance... is it weird for me to ask a friend for his number? this is a backup plan but I'm not gonna see him for like 1 and a half weeks sooo...:(

why don't you just ask the guy yourself, you don't want to seem so shy and embarrassed that you can't ask for a simple phone number or even a date, its better to be straightforward

thats the problem today was my last chance and I never had the time. I was literally so busy all day even though he was there too. he leaves tomorrow morning so I'm not gonna see him for like one and a half weeks...:(

Anyway, no it's not really weird but if his friend might not be trustworthy enough, he might tell your crush about you. Which isn't a bad thing.

if you want someone's number, ask them for it. its the best way to get it. most people don't just offer their number to people.

do think I should wait until he's back. because I would ask him in a heartbeat its just today was the last time I'm gonna see him for one and a half weeks so that's why I was wondering if I should get his number now are wait till he gets back...

idk there isn't one I guess. but I'm not gonna see him at all for the rest of tonight and then he leaves early morning tmro. I don't know how else to get his number before he leaves. he seeing family and stuff and then coming back permanantly.
