Do you get nervous when asked for your number?

I just spent like 20 minutes talking to a new girl at the grocery store last night. We were geeking out about craft beer the whole time and I found that very attractive about her so I asked for her number. She smiled and said yes!

Why I'm asking, her hands started shaking while she was writing down her number. She had a really big grin after that so I don't think it's a bad thing.

... that and we hope said guy isn't some psycho or stalker and we regret doing so later, lol. Nowadays there are so many creeps out there I'm just wary giving out anything personal: online or in person, unless I know the person well enough beforehand.

How do you feel about a guy giving you his number? My best friend who In the past, had a gift of gab, when he was single would often give his number to the girl. I’m sure not all text him but many did. I do think it’s a good way to know of her interest. I don’t think a girl texts a guy unless she’s quite interested whereas girls can text a guy back after his initial text but it being polite or she may be semi interested.

But let me tell you a little story: last year one of my coworkers gave me his number and told me to contact him.

I was like, "okay, I need a reason to text him so I don't seem weird or desperate..." 😂

But I DID text him first! He was shocked but happy. I guess everyone is anxious calling or texting someone that first time. But once you do, it's not bad at all

well, you were quite interested to do that. I don't think you'd have texted him if you weren't or were only semi interested. That's the benefit I see with giving your number to a girl instead. Sure it's tough for girls to do that and I know guys are the one's to initiate. But the guy still kind of did that if he invites or asks a girl if she wants to go out somewhere some time. A girl may not text if she gets a guy's number. But I feel when a girl does, it's most likely a better sign of interest than her giving a guy her number, and she texts back his initial text. A lot of times girls I think may text back to be nice or maybe haver some interest but maybe not that much. Often, I think many girls are also talking to other guys too. So in my opinion, considering that, if a guy gives his number to a girl and she does text him. I feel it means she put you ahead of the other guys to even do that. Just my two cents, but I do feel that

The problem is it just sounds like she's desperate for a date because your the first guy to ask her her number. I don't believe in handing out my number to complete strangers.

You should give your number instead sometime, you asked them out but it can make them more comfortable getting your number. Plus the ball is in her court and girls can flake out but if she texts you, it’s definitely a bigger sign of her interest, than a girl responding to your initial text and may just be polite or semi interested

I think that some people are just really shy. Like me for example, I dont mind it you phone me just to make sure it's the right number because sometimes I get really nervous and forget or say something else.

Yes. A customer at my work asked me for my number but he didn’t look like he was my type so I hesitated but he insisted so I did. I’ve texted him back a few times but I think he just wants to hook up so I’m ignoring him.
