What should I say to ask a friend out?

I met a girl in school, and have become friends with her over the past 2 years. I’ve developed a crush on her, and when we hang out in person, I get a sense that she could like me back. We hang out one on one, but I want to ask her out on a proper date. Not sure what to say exactly, any advice?

Pretty much 2 years. We do things like grab coffee, see shows, get food etc. I get the feeling that I need to be clear that I want to be more than friends, otherwise she’ll just assume we’re friends.
