As a girl, what what am I doing wrong when trying to flirt and hit on guys in public places?

Okay I’m not having any luck on dating apps. Since guys are on there looking for sexting. That I have posted questions online and read opinions about how to find a relationship. Which are: “go out and socialize and get offline.” I also have seen stories of happy couples saying “oh, we just bumped into each other at this place and sparks started flying.”

Now after reading opinions and seeing the results of finding a relationship in public. I have been putting effort of approaching guys in public places. But I have not had any luck of landing a relationship. It also doesn’t even get as far as landing a friendship as well.

I don’t think my approach is aggressive or anything, I simply approach guys and begin conversing with them. Just simple introduction and questions like: “hello how are you? Where are you from and what do you do?”

Guys are polite and say hi back but they cut the conversation short by saying “well, I gotta go. You’re a sweet girl but I’m super busy. Bye.” And I never see them again.
Even when I go out in public, I see couples in different shapes and sizes happily in a relationship. While I’m alone putting effort.

So what am I doing wrong when trying to find a relationship?

It’s not that you’re doing anything wrong. It’s just that when you approach people you don’t know… a lot of people won’t want to talk to you. Most people at least try to be nice.

Number one take what someone says at face value. Most of the time they’re probably legitimately busy and even if they lied. It means they don’t want to talk to you for some reason or another. But as I said. They’re probably busy.

I agree. Never used online dating apps I’m sure good people are there. But I don’t know who I’m even talking to and it’s just I don’t know. It’s weird to me and it never will be my thing.

A lot of strangers are taken, a lot are like I said busy, some just aren’t interested, some people don’t really date people they don’t know well, etc.

Also be direct if you talk to a guy. Tell him what you want. But I get it you try to have a basic conversation and then try to ask later.

If I were you. Maybe find someone you like in your personal circle. A lot of strangers just aren’t that friendly and won’t talk to you much.

I think you are missing a finer point. Dating, as in meeting people, flirting, asking for dates, and going on dates is a skill. Developing any skill takes practice. What you are doing is practice.

Watch successful people and learn from them.

Learn from your failures and get better.

Welcome to the reality of cold-approaching. Just because you're interested in meeting someone doesn't mean they're interested in meeting you, who is essentially a stranger. You might not be doing anything wrong, per se, but doing everything right doesn't mean you'll have success. People need to "feel it" and that's really difficult to establish when meeting a stranger in public.

1. try to meet in public in reoccuring places, i go to a board game night and a trivia night, you need to meet in public but give yourself a chance to see them again.

2. men actually like more aggression, they are very physical creatures so poking them isn't a bad idea. you need to be pretty forward.

Firstly that's basic socialising. Women who are just friendly do that also, its not like you are making a move on them.

Secondly you may have to adjust your expectations or work on yourself in some manner.

I'm sorry to say but it sounds like you are " not their type ," which means they are not physically attracted to you. .

But keep trying and don't give up !
