Honestly? It could be a combination of both.
To play the devil's advocate, a guy can come off as a "nice guy," yet once he gets into a relationship with someone, his facade goes away and the real person comes out!

Now if said girl is habitually picking the same type of guys every single time (she has a type) and it's the wrong type? Yeah it's her fault she's self-sabotaging her relationships and picking bad men.

Depends on whats a fail in your or her eyes, not being compatible and acting on that to me is not a fail, some people stay in relationships when they know they aren't compatible, that to me is a fail, someone is not being honest son.
