I just met a guy and he wants to meet my parents?

Today was our official second date and the day prior today was our first date. I received a text today asking if he could meet my parents. Is he serious about me? What would you guys do in this situation?

BIG RED FLAG. He barely knows you. He's in love with the idea of having a girlfriend, but is unlikely to be able to love any actual woman. He has a fantasy about what a relationship is like. When you turn out to be a real person with needs and what's of your own, her will drop you just as quickly.

He could be seeking approval to date you.. very old tradition that has gone by the wayside.

How can he be serious about you if he barely knows you? You wouldn't know who you were bringing to meet your parents, or what you'd be inviting into their life and energy space.
