He wants to meet my parents?

I haven't been taking our relationship too seriously at all, but tonight he mentioned that he really wants to meet my parents.

he says he doesn't want to "hide" from them and that he would like to get to know them.

None of the guys I've dated have ever expressed this so I'm a little thrown off. I'm not trying to read too much into things, but does this have a certain significance?

guess you should know for yourself how you feel about him and if you want this. Honestly I broke up once because she wanted that I met her parents and was waay to serious about stuff like that so I don't really get that guy:p Guess he might want to impress you abit that he wants to show your parents that he's a good guy (if he is :D)

But if you don't really want to do this, just talk to him about this.

(and you might wanna say his gay.. ha ha OK just joking:p)

well, I don't think it's a breakup caliber situation... I just didn't expect it because we're pretty casual. I know he's not just trying to get in my pants because that ship has sailed. do you think he's trying to make it more of a serious relationship by getting to know my parents?

Maybe, but maybe he just wants to feel more at ease and not "hiding" for your parents, maybe it just makes him feel uncomfortable and he wants to get it over with.. I guess there's only one person who know the right anwser, and you sailed ships together so you shouldn't be worried to ask I guess?

After all, serious sucks (sometimes), So you might just want to get clear on why he wants this..
