He wants to meet my parents..

There's this guy I met about a week ago at school. We only ever talked for like 5 minutes after the bus dropped us off and we were walking home. Last Friday he invited me to go play volleyball with his friends. The thing was, he's two years old than me. I know my mom would never let me hang out with him. So I told him that and he was like "Does she think I'm a pedophile or something?". Well no it's just that he's quite a bit older than me and people may get the wrong idea. (I'm a sophomore, he's a senior). Then he said he wants to meet my mom. Like WHAT! I don't think this is a good idea. I don't like him more than a friend and him wanting to meet my mom.. I don't know. Does him asking to meet my parents mean he likes me? What should I say to him?

That might seem like a big age gap in high school but in reality it's insignificant, as long as you two aren't doing "adult activities" that could get you into trouble due to legal issues. I don't think he wants to meet your mom to imply that you're already dating but probably to let her know his intentions...

he seems like he just want's to get here permission to hang out with you considering that he is 18 and you are 16. That's pretty respectable in all honesty

If you guys aren't even dating or in a relationship I don't think need to introduce him to the family yet, its too soon

Yeah even if you both were the same age, seems too soon to meet the parents. Especially knowing your mom's stance about dating older guys.

It means most likely he's worried about your mother and wants to take a pre-emptive strike in assuaging her worries lol.
