How often should a guy and girl be texting after 3 dates?

If a person isn't calling you, meaning, talking on the phone, after three dates, something seems off.

Texting is a DISTANCING measure when you don't ACTUALLY want to talk to someone.

If you want to be closer to someone, you call, unless you're simply relating factual information:

Meet me at the diner. The party is there. This is the address. The store opens at 10.

It is an awkward way to have a conversation: there is no give and take, and there is no TONE to the words written. You can't discern MEANING.

Email has the same failing, except it's easier to type on a full-sized, qwerty keyboard and ends up being more like letter writing. But again, no give and take, and no tone. If you can't communicate any other WAY then email or write letters. If it's a long-distance thing.

But you've dated three times! What's the problem? Why not call? How long have you been dating? A month? Two?

Never mind she finally ended up messaging me. She said sorry for being a bit distant. She was having some issues at work. I took like 2hrs to reply then she sent me a further 3 messages

Remember to physically TALK to each other. You learn a lot more when you hear HOW people are phrasing words and their tone. It really helps.
