I'm sure there would be some guys who would jump on that in a heartbeat and others who might think something is wrong with that girl.

I used to have this friend and she didn't lose her virginity until she was 25. She was hot too, always had guys hitting on her, but she had a bad experience dating once and the guys she did get with always wanted to rush into sex, like the first week, and she wanted to wait at least a month.

I don't think that's asking much. Some people just aren't ready. If a girl is a virgin and she doesn't feel ready, rushing into it just to "Get it over with" is a mistake. Waiting until you feel comfortable is the right way to go. Comfortable with yourself and the other person.

It would be a huge red flag. Without knowing all the information behind it, first reactions would be:
1) She is a religious nutbag.
2) she is so picky that nobody is going to be good enough.
3) she has such a built up picture in her head of how that 1st time should go that now nobody and noplace will live up to it.

The first place my mind drifts to is she likely has really bad anxiety, which has prevented her from meeting someone and the whole virginity is secondary.

If that is the case, then you can't hold that against the person.

I just give that as example, because there could be underlying issues she or he can't help and people should not assume the worse.

You are in the danger zone, but you still have time. Once you hit 30 guys will get suspicious and either not believe you are a virgin or think there is something wrong with you. Saving yourself for marriage is fine but you actually have to get married while you are in your prime else it's a waste.

Sort of. It's not the specific fact that she's a virgin, but why she's chosen that. Is it fear of commitment? Is she seeking perfection? Is nobody good enough? Those are the put offs, not the virginity.
