I think being single is taboo in our society. If you aren't married till 30 the people will ask u again and again when you are going to get married? Have you found the one? Or even People taunt you that there is something wrong with you thats why you are still single. People do not understand that every person has his own personal life. If he wishes to remain single or when he finds a suitable partner, he will get married. I have seen some people get married without even thinking because of pressure from others and regret it later.

Yes societal pressure will drive a person to mental collapse... my family use to do that now they're more understanding on my views on marriage in 2023. I take marriage / relationships serious most don't.

Exactly. I think especially the older generation thinks you have to get married by 30 or you're a failure. Id rather take my time.

Right @Emmakhan my sister having the same problem her husband and her married less then 3 years and she's tired of him. My ex remarried his wife isn't happy with him.

The first thing that God has decided that when your marriage will take place. It is not in the hand of man. Second, wrong decisions are made in haste. People should think and make these decisions. We cannot marry anyone because we have to marry.

I come from a conservative household, and one of the "conservative" ideas is that to be successful, you need to be married & raise a family. Fortunately, my parents don't force that on me. I think, in society, especially older folk, think this way. Today, I don't think being single is as badly viewed as it was a few years ago.

To be honest, I love being single. I can do what I want, when I want, as I please. I like my freedom, and sure, I'd like to get married someday but I'm in no rush. I think society just rushes things. in my opinion, it's best to take your time.

Generally, when anybody criticizes another person many times it’s out of jealousy. My guess is that it’s married people criticizing you for being single and most likely it’s people who are miserable in their marriage.

I'm single... People always ask me when you getting married. Do you have found your soulmate yet. Do you like someone. Etc. These kinda questions are annoying. I might be single forever.

I don't think society generally cares if anyone in particular is single, in a relationship or married. People tend to care if THEY are in one or the other of those categories, but generally, no one else does.

You miss the whole point of the question 😕 I said society I didn't say individuals and yes people care I just left an article where a mob of angry men are mad that some women are children are choosing to be single and child free.
