Should you quit your job before confessing your feelings to your manager at work?

I believe in taking the plunge, coach. Lifes too short to hide and wonder. I confessed to my very close friend and coworker. One of us is married, so obviously it didn't go well and she ended up quitting. But i dont regret it one bit.

I would wait at least 6 months to 1 year if I wanted to confess feelings for an old manager from an old job. I would also make sure I never need to use that guy for a reference or I would never tell them how I felt.

Firstly, I would advise against this. 1.) What if the feelings aren’t mutual? 2.) What if you can’t find another job?

She's actually a co-manager.

With double my weight and half my competence.

She quits by end of this month instead - and I expect that she keeps her mouth shut :)

I think its best to just keep that to yourself all together. That puts the manager/supervisor in a vety difficult position regardless of whether the employee still works for them or not.

Interesting question but I’ve been at my job too long to quit it even though there is someone of interest that is a supervisor so not much I can do
