Is feeling the chemistry a mutual thing?

yes. I had some guys who chased me like hungry dog a piece of meat, I felt nothing for them but they had some kind of obsession. I wouldn't consider that as chemistry

No it's not. Some people can easily fool themselves that there is chemistry when the other has only been nice. So there isn't necessary a mutual feeling.
