Why does my family members think there is something wrong with me and my boryfriend?

I enjoy keeping my relationship private and not flaunting it on Facebook. My boyfriend feels the same way and he said his ex would make him feel uncomfortable by posting pictures and putting her status that she was dating him

Fair enough - I just hope you both are aware of the differences between you two and your respective families, because if this leads to marriage then you two are going to have to figure out the value of their options and the roles they will play in your combined lives.
