It doesn't let me be alone, it is jealous of my boyfriend, he always bites my mom if she touches him when he is sitting on me, when i come home he is waiting for me and is screaming before i come inside the house and he always goes crazy if he hears my voice on the phone when my mom speaks with me...
The parrot is clearly bonded with you. What type is it by the way?
Dogs and cats will greet you at the door so I don't see why the parrot shouldn't greet you in a screaming parrot way.
Is it a male parrot? Years ago a female friend and I started walking around a lake in a park. there was a clutch of young swans (signets) one of them started to come to us when called. Didn't feed it so it was just for the social aspect he swam to us. We took a break at Christmas. On our next walk she called out for this swan. Over Christmas he had changed from a signet to an adult swan and apparently had gone through puberty. Now he wanted to fight me! My friend was his girl and I was a threat.
So I'm thinking he might consider you as his girl and hence hates your boyfriend. He might see your mom as interfering with his love time with you. Theory falls apart if it is a female parrot.
Regardless parrot is clearly possessive and jealous.
S/he might be more settled if they have a parrot buddy of the opposite gender?

Alright little missy, now I know you wanna feel special, and like most women on the internet, you are looking for these good people to feed you dopamine and tell you that you are the only one in the world who has this effect on their pet, but in truth, this is very common with dogs as well. Any social animal you who take as a pet at a young age will bond strongly with it’s owner. Same thing with my mom and her new dog, as it was with the previous dog as well. Nothing to write home about lol
A lot of animals get jealous. Two of my friends had multiple pets and the senior or older pet would attack the new baby pet. In one case the baby pet was killed by the senior pet. I don't know who to resolve it, maybe see if you can get your mom to give your parrot a tasty treat. I know you can buy a dog's loyalty by giving him high quality food his owner does not usually feed him. It might work for the bird too.
Has your parrot got ahold of some pot or something? He sounds a little toasted. Actually, it is kind of cute that he defends you. Not so much with the other household members. I would like to see how he gets along with a cat.

In the wild, parrots are monogamous, they mate for life. You are, in essence, your parrot's mate, and he will fiercely defend you. His actions are not unusual for a parrot pet. Be stern with him when he dies something you don't like. Keep st it, and he might eventually get the idea and not feel so threatened.
You have a bird of mating age and has selected it's mate and position in whatever bird "order" it understands.
I worked at a house with a Macaw female bird. She hated her owner but she loved me and when sneak out of the cage, would walk right up to me and sit beside me like we were birds on a wire. so sweet. these animals are doing what they naturally do
have respect for your bird... it's a "being".
Be glad you don't have an elephant...
I think that's not uncommon with parrots; some species especially tend to form bonds with one person and become kind of obsessive.

parrots are extremely intelligent and need the same level of attention you would give a child. most people spend thousands on them and just ignore them most of the time
I had a bird like that. Mine was hand-fed, so she thought she was human. When I saw a spider crossing the room, I told Billy to GET IT. Billy was all about protecting me.
He is pair-bonded to you. You are the mommy. He is protective of the flock. It's a great compliment.
I think the parrot thinks he is your boyfriend.
Lucky, you have someone who will always remain faithful and prioritize you.
Well, you shouldn't be surprised if he's jealous of your boyfriend... everyone else in the world is, aren't they?
maybe its just happy when it hears or sees more than one person lol
Being the only person who takes care of him can create that relationship. Same with dogs, sweetie.
He/she likes you
You obviously formed a tight bond with your bird.
because you feed it
