Well I’m the odd one out. I like to figure him out long before the date and then once the date happens, I just wanna have fun and enjoy eachothers company as we do something adventurous like go to the theme park, beach, etc together. Not looking to play 21 questions once there. Anyways, to answer the question— I want to know his goals in life (and if he’s even began to work towards those), if he’s too busy or too much of a workaholic, if he’s a family man/lonewolf/social media showoff/etc. I want to see if the way he acts around me is how he acts around others and if we share a similar definition of what respect is. I’m goofy so I need to see if he has a similar sense of humor. I’m more of a talker so I need to pay attention to if he can hold a convo as well. I’m a sucky listener so I’m paying attention to see if he’s better at that then I am. I want to know if he believes in God and if he has kids or wants them in his future. I want to know about his hobbies/interests and if he is into smoking/drinking/partying. I want to know if he's a daredevil or more reserved. I want to see if he's the humble type or cocky/arrogant. I want to see if he’s understanding, caring, courageous, decisive, shy, etc. I unfortunately won’t know if he’s faithful or genuine til much later on since thats not something I’ll find out in a day.

• He's not a white cis het man, because there's way too many other demographics for me to experience and two was enough of that one for me.
• Common values: childfree, political and economic views, work ethic, lifestyle, 2SLGBTQ or ally.
• Common interests: specifically I'm looking for a climber because I want to date a fellow dirtbag
• Compatiblity: physical affection levels, sexual/kink, etc
• Sense of humour

I tell people on first dates about all the above (except the sex stuff - that's usually for after 3rd date or when we go to one of our places, unless they want to hear it more).


I don't want to waste my time or their time if we don't line up on childfree, political, or queer views. There's no need to go further if any of those checks fail.
