In actuality it depends on the country. In the USA short women = 5'2 to 5'6 as most women are that range. If a guy says he has dated multiple short women it's usually that range. On apps I very rarely see women below 5'2 in large quantities. Most women are 5'2 to 5'6. I'm a 5'4 man so I'm not tall enough for them. But I wouldn't buy the men like short women nonsense. One moment a tall attractive woman walks by then guys have their eyes on her. In sum, men don't give a crap and think with their dicks.

Shorter than them not under 5’. A lot of tall men like 6’-6’3 want girls at least 5’6+. Yes men generally prefer women shorter than them but not necessarily “short women.” If a man is 5’6 then he would prefer a woman who is 5’ over a woman the same height or taller. Similarly, women in general prefer a man taller than them. I am 5’7 and I prefer someone taller because when I hug them I like to feel like they’re taller than me.

I think if you keep yourself in shape, aren't fat, kinda pretty, dress nice guys and make the most of what you got will be intrested. The reason, girls like to pretend that guys have some hang ups on dating tall girls have to do with not being aware of their own hypergamy. Tall girls very often restrict their dating pool to only guys that are at least tall as them. And given how men are aware of how much height is important to a woman, a lot of guys don't even bother approaching girls that are taller than them.

Dunno, but it is natural for women to be shorter than men so even if a guy is not looking for that it's the easiest thing for him to find. He would have to go out of his way to be with a taller woman - unless he himself is below average height for a man.
