That’s kinda red flaggish to me. I understand wanting to be fair, do things 50/50, etc, but this is a first date and he’s the one who asked you. Like is this going to be his demeanor going forward? If I were you I’d forego the first date, or any. No need to set yourself up for whatever that mindset is.
