Well, don't worry too much about planning out what you're going to ask. Ideally, you'll be having a conversation that riffs off of the answers to some of those questions.

e. g. Did you grow up here?

Can lead to a conversation about... your childhoods; or about what each of you thinks about your town/city. Maybe a conversation about where you or he would like to live one day. Etc. etc.

So hopefully the questions will come sorta naturally for the most part.

But ones to start you off are just your sorta generic getting to know each other questions. What do you like doing in your free time? What kind of work do you do? Are you close with your family? Any siblings? What's your favorite season? What's your favorite movie, do you dance, etc. Anything really.

It's the talking and flow and vibe that matters much more than what questions you ask, or what you say.

Depends on how open the guy is. You have to get a feel for the vibe he gives off. If he's easy going, usually anything goes, because easy going people are generally pretty open. If he's upright, then you might have to be a little careful about what you ask.

My suggestion is to just ask the things you're genuinely curious about without any ill intentions. Questions that you wouldn't mind getting asked.
