Why is it so hard for some men to show their feelings?

My boyfriend tells me he loves me and he absolutely shows it in my opinion and makes me feel loved, but he said “I’m not very good at showing it”. I’ve reassured him and have told him how he does show it but he still feels he’s not good at expressing his feelings. Any advice on how to get him past that?

Is he good at showing all his other emotions?

Yeah he seems to be. I’ve never seen him really mad but I’ve seen him frustrated and I’ve seen him very emotional and he confided in me. I think he’s good at showing affection and love as well but he feels he’s not good at it.

So he is practiced and open to showing subtle emotions but when he is passionate in either way he’s not showing you
