Trying to find genuine love is really hard?

Good looks.
Talents.
Intelligence.
Wisdom.
Kindness.
Things in common.
Even if you have all these, it feels like searching for another planet with life on it when trying to find someone who loves you.
Why is it such a chore? Why do most people reject opportunities? Why are most attempts at dating just shallow interactions in a restaurant with strangers, or dating app profiles with barely a sentence on them.

yes, it is.
Finding the right person is hard work and can take a lot of time.
Pretty much like a second job.
But just like anything else, the more time and effort you put into finding the right person, the better it will be in the long run.

It is not hard at all. People are just too lazy, or they make everything awkward.

Why are they lazy though? Why not be willing to put in the effort in to find what they want?

Awkward tends to be relative, so I'm not going to get into that.

My thought was more that people are afraid to be vulnerable. They want to seem unphased to avoid humiliation or loss, so they put on a mask that makes them seem like they just don't need it.

So many people these days rely on dating apps rather than going out and socializing.

Kind of pointless to do that when they don't even fill out their profiles.

The trick is be more of a gentleman and well behaved matters.
