Why is it so hard to find love?

It seems the older you get the harder it is to find love

My view is that in the old days people were not trying to "find love". They valued everyone living up to certain standards to get respect. Also the lifestyle and food quality was such that just about everybody was fit and had a great body. In that environment you could pick someone at random and have good odds of finding a decent partner. They also valued team work. Today people are obsessed with "individual freedom" and getting as much as possible for as little as possible. You end up with people who want to behave like single persons within a relationship, expecting the other person to GIVE EVERYTHING while they give almost nothing.

Not that I am convinced that a man should be looking for "love" from a woman. If our ancestors spent eons not obsessed with finding "love" it could be that the modern concept of that is just a myth. I mean the romcom stuff... the love songs. The women claiming they alone get to decide what is or isn't good enough. Give me a break. I believe men set the gold standard eons ago and it is up to you as a man to know who you are and whether it's worth being with a woman. But don't expect her to think/act like a man.

Because you people, YOU people right here on this forum do not know what "Real Love" actually is. You use the word "Love" every day, but you really mean "Lust" when you use the word "love".

Love is a willful decision to act selflessly at all times.

Love will lay down it's life for a complete stranger.

Love does not lust. Period.

Love values a human being's life, including an unborn baby, more than a billion dollars.

Love is the complete opposite of Abortion. Abortion is the product of laziness, selfishness, and outright hatred of a human being toward another human being. Your women murder their own babies just because they are too lazy to be bothered by them. They are the complete opposite of love, and there are just as many if not more WOMEN in HELL as there are men in HELL, because a LOVING GOD is not going to allow murderers into Heaven when we all face our final judgment.

Maybe. For me I find that as I age my interest stay the same. What I mean is I still think of myself as young but forget that have aged and look older. Sometimes I think that people my age are looking for different things than me and that because o haven’t achieved what they have I’m not exactly worthy.

Because most people these days are selfish and only really care about themselves , Casual sex is like the new norm , most people Don’t want committed relationships because they like variety and not being tied down to just one person , why so many affairs and cheating occur and relationships end. Most relationship fail because of cheating and lack of intimacy and affection in relationships, Social media played a big part on damaging the foundations of relationships as well

Because when you're young you're all pretty much starting from the same place. All are green, with basic education, and pretty much no assets. 20 years. Later people's lives have diverged vastly. Some people are broke, homeless, and junkies while others are millionaires. Some are high school educated while some hold doctorates in thier field. Some are childless while others have 5 kids, sometimes by 5 different partners.

Simply put, the older you are the more baggage you're likely to have. And to make matters worse, human tend to get more cynical as the age. It's just an unfortunate side affect of aging.😆 So people are much less likely to give him or her a chance based on what they THINK they already know about him or her based on thier life experiences.
