How many days should you wait for someone to text before you move on from someone?

I don't know, my long distance girlfriend of 3 years has been ignoring me since Sunday, the longest time ever and even though I can see that she's active on Instagram throughout the day.

It's really hurting me but I can't move on cause there's nobody I can move on to, and I want her regardless😞

If something happened to her, she wouldn't be active on Instagram throughout the day and if her mom died, she'd tell me and not surf Instagram, swiping right past my messages asking her if she's okay.

I've tried to setup a meet with her since the beginning, but she always says she doesn't feel ready cause she's afraid her mom will find out and she's crazy. I've video chatted with her once, so I know she's not catfishing me though

If he/she ignores you then you should definitely move on after 2 days period! Obviously he/she isn't liking you that much because if you really like someone you want to talk to that person and you definitely wouldn't ignore that person for sure

I'd say between 24 hours to 2 days. By three days (if you choose to wait that long) it's definitely a wrap. Sometimes things happen that prevent a person from texting back right away but after 2 days, then I would say their definitely just ignoring you.

If you are used to texting daily and he doesn’t for a day … you may want to check up on the person to see if they’re ok.


If you have texted with no response … feel free to text again in 3 days just to do due diligence ( odd not to check on your ur interest though) and within one day of no response then you know the person has ghosted you simply
