My ex went for another woman soon after break up, they didn’t even last 7 months, turned out they just broke up in April. I assume it's a matter of convenience/ease. Attractive women are sometimes under the impression that they're doing men a favor by dating them. That's a really unpleasant feeling to be in relationship with someone who thinks they're doing you a favor.

there's simply no way a man can only find one woman attractive alone. if it wasn't for shaming culture, men who have the resources and capabilities would engage in polygamy. it's not surprising they denied it because polygamy is considered a taboo in society but not without it's reasons.

for example if there are truly equal numbers of heterosexual men and heterosexual women and we buy into the theory that there is someone out there for everyone. polygamy exists in the world ensures this can not be the case as they are men with multiple women thus some men would be left single and the more single men there are, the more unstable a society becomes
