Why would a man cheat on a beautiful woman with a less attractive woman?

The question that blew up on cheating got me thinking. I was watching this internet celebrity/model called India Halsell who got cheated on with her friend at the time. The friend is nowhere near as pretty, but apparently flirted with the boyfriend and the boyfriend fell for it and decided to cheat.

Why do some men 1) cheat with their girlfriend's FRIEND and 2) cheat with someone much less attractive? I don't understand it at all. What can be their reasons?

Because these men are cheaters. It's nothing to do with how pretty his girlfriend is. Or, the other girl may be less pretty but has a better personality. Also some men want to take attractive women down a peg, and they do this by cheating. As for men who cheat with the friends, well, they are bad people.
