"Whatcha need $25K for?" Would you answer or not?

Sooo let's say your partner has all the money in the world. You ask him the question above and he's like "Why?" it's a simple answer. If your intentions are good, it's easy. But what if it's a tricky intention? He wonders if he can trust you and he asks you straight up, no malice, no fear... just asking. Are you going to be able to come clean in a simple answer of what you want?

Would I answer a question like that? Probably. Would I ask in return why they wanted to know? Maybe.

Reading between the lines, it sounds like the question really means "Why are you hoarding that money instead of spending it on me?". If I thought that was the case I might react pretty negatively, and maybe even start to question if I wanted to stay in the relationship.

You will always need a good valid reason for the funds , noone is just going to palm it over , your net worth has little bearing , its called financial literacy.
