This is me right now. I have $25 to last me until Friday of next week. Thank God I have food here. I live at my parents' house at age 30. My income is disability at $2000 a month and some under-the-table gigs. My parents are supplementing me. My parents are also broke until the 15th.

Not me. I have enough food in my pantry to last me at least a year and I have stuff growing on my farm thus I constantly have more opportunities for food that's not in my pantry. My property is paid off so I have no rent or mortgage to worry about. I have multiple water wells and water filtration for at least the next 3 years so I don't have to worry about a water bill. I have a solar electric system so I don't have to worry about a power bill. Could my car insurance laps, could I run out of gas, could they cut off my internet access, etc? Sure, but it's not like it's the end of the world. I'd still survive fine until property taxes are due.

I would not panic because I am not in the situation. I was taught to plan ahead when I was a kid by parents who were taught to plan ahead by THEIR parents.

How can you get 2,000 dollars a month on disability? You're only 30 and live with your parents. I'm assuming you're getting SSI but even if you're getting SSD, you don't have the work history to get that amount.

Fuck no, what kind of question is this? I am very talented, skilled, and multifaceted. I am just always fired for stupid, obscure reasons, such as soft skills and poor interactions in a team environment. I would absolutely love to establish my career, although I am trying to protect my Medicare right now. I cannot go without health insurance during unemployment gaps, because I have been hospitalized numerous times due to severe mental illness. If employers were willing to overlook my shortcomings and subpar soft skills, I could really thrive. My hard skills have been described as "off the charts".

I was a software developer making $76k/yr salary. Then came the big tech washout. I was fired July of last year. Then, during the last 3 months of the Biden regime, I was notified they were ending my disability benefits due to too many work attempts. I had to fight for an immediate reinstatement to protect my Medicare, thus, having to forfeit work. I have had 25 jobs since age 15. My longest tenure is 11 months. My shortest was 30 minutes. With my job insecurity, I decided it is best to step aside from a career in the meantime. I am just taking upon project-based gigs for now.

I still have bills stemming from when I actually had a well-paying job in the past. Just because I no longer make a good middle-class income doesn't mean the bills don't stop when I no longer do. A lot of it gets eaten up by the bills.
