It shouldn't "happen", it doesn't happen by itself. You either allow it to happen by participating or you don't. Then it doesn't "happen", it's called participating. And if you choose to participate, why stop at hand holding and kissing? I'm sure you'll be tempered to get @BoobSlayer involved, he will add poetry and caressing, not just hand holding and kissing!

What do you mean "What happens?" I guess you hold his hand or kiss him back. The butterfly feeling you get when you do is really nice.
I don't think you should start eating each other's faces or anything. But a soft, lingering kiss is really nice.

I really loved it when I when I went someplace with a girl that I liked and she would take a chance and put her little hand trustingly in mine as a way of gauging my reaction. It made me feel that she liked me and like being with me made her feel safe. I would think "She's my girl" and feel ten feet tall.
At that point, I knew I could put my arm around her shoulder or waist and she would cuddle against me.

At your age, holding hands is fine. Kissing is fine but don't let it turn into a tonsil examination in public. You have a crush, but you aren't in love and you don't really know him, so you should have a limit on what you are willing to do with him. Have that firmly established in your mind and have a line that you won't cross.

Do what comes naturally. If he takes your hand and it feels good, hold hands with him. If he leans in to kiss you and you decide it's what you want, go ahead and kiss him. Stay within your bounds though... don't get carried away.

Love is in the air & if you like him or love him you should explore those feelings. On the flip side if you want to hold hands or kiss him go for it & don’t be afraid to tell him that it’s ok if he kisses you or holds your hand.
