Does chemistry just fade or disappear?

I went on a date , and it was great I was drawn to her , excited , we kissed held hands , but a few days later I noticed it faded out.. how does that happen? We had another date planned and we were both excited but after a while I wasn’t.. ?

Did she mutually feel the same way? There’s certain guys I’ve been on dates with where they felt infatuated but I didn’t feel the same so maybe that chemistry feeling was one sided and that’s why it died out?

Yes we both felt it , and I explained how it’s been a long time since I felt that way.. I’ve never had it go that great , and then a few days it all changed.. she did tell me a few days after our date that I wasn’t a good fit so I don't know if that had something to do with it.. a few days later we started talking and things picked up.. I was a little bummed when she told me that but not crazy hurt like she was when she said that.. make sense?

I don’t think she was feeling this as much as you were. Once you come to terms with that, it will be easier to move on

What I mean is she is more in to me than I’m into her.. she misses me more than I miss her.. if we didn’t talk she would miss me but I didn’t really think about her when we didn’t talk is what I’m trying to explain
