Guys, What does it mean if a guy I’ve been texting with for more than a week doesn’t come to meet me?

We’ve known each other for 2 years but started texting for about a week, he said he will try to come to my hometown to see me (we are long distance) but texted me the next day that he has to study and can’t make it to the date.(He is preparing for residency exam in med school). But he didn’t plan another date since then. We still text but I don’t know what I should do. I really like him and I wouldn’t want to cut him off but I don’t want to seem desperate either. Thoughts?

He is just busy with his studies and doesn't have time to meet up right now. However, it's also possible that he is not interested in you and is just using his studies as an excuse to avoid you. If you really like him, I would suggest giving him some space and letting him reach out to you when he is ready. In the meantime, you can focus on your own life and meet other people. If he does eventually reach out to you, you can then decide if you want to pursue a relationship with him.

Maybe message him something that shows him you´re interest and wish to meet him someday in the future. I don´t think you´re looking desperate if you text him in a broad way but you´re still show him you´re interest. Because if you like to meet him I think it´s good to tell him. It would make you look desperate if you send him something like: I can´t wait to meet...
