Do you believe in pink jobs and blue jobs?

Like a blue job would be taking out the trash, mowing the lawn and fixing the car and the pink job would be taking care of the kids and fixing dinner.

Pink and blue is typically how it's divided between my husband and myself with some purple here and there. 🙂

Me - make breakfast and dinner, dishes, clean and tidy the inside of the house, grocery shopping, pet care,, parent teacher conferences and other school related things, and our son is mostly with me because I'm home all summer but my husband always plays with him after dinner or takes him on outings on Sundays.

Husband - Everything outside the house except the flowers. So... mowing, other lawn care, trimming bushes/trees, raking and bagging leaves, shoveling snow, other general house maintenance, cleans out garage, takes garbage out nightly then down to the the curb for pickup, puts the cars in the garage at night and he keeps track of car maintenance and takes them in for oil changes/repairs, and also he does the grilling. Then, inside the house - he typically keeps track of yearly appointments for furnace/AC cleanings, general home repairs, and MOST importantly kills any spiders - lol

Over fall and winter, when there's less yard work, my husband does pitch in with the cleaning and tidying inside and he'll help assist with dinner/clean-up - or anything else thats needed. 🙂

Honestly, I've never really thought about it - I suppose, it just naturally fell this way. 🙂

Nope both genders should be able to do basic chores. Just today I took out the trash, was cleaning my car and the back yard. When my hubby is home he likes caring for the kids and cooking dinner. Doesn't really matter who does it as long as these things get done.

i don't do "believing". it's foolish. there are jobs who are predominantly chosen by men and there are jobs that are predominantly chosen by women. that's just an undeniable fact that is measurable and demonstrable by means of survey and statistic.

Nope. My wife and I both do most of the tasks in the home. I do more dishes because I find it relaxing, she likes mowing the lawn, but the rest of the chores are pretty much whoever has time to do it.

Yes, I am older but there are jobs that only I can do. My wife is in Healthcare so there are lots of things only she can do.
