How should one go about dating as an anime fan/nerd?

So I'm very picky... like unusually picky as a man. At least when it comes to any relationships that could potentially be long term. That's because I'm very much into anime, gaming and nerd culture in general and all the stuff that comes with it.

But i can't just get with anybody and that's because somewhere along the line i realized that if whoever i get with isn't also into anime and there by understands just how deep the level of sus-ness goes without pulling a fit over it (If you know, you know), it's just not going to work.

So i've been hesitant to actually get out there and start dating because i have no idea how to approach this one critical factor, so does anybody have any suggestions on how to deal with this? Or is this just something that i'm better off keeping to myself?

So what IS considered grown up? Excessive smoking and drinking? Obsessing over material shit like cars, jewelry and Gucci bags?
Slaving away at a dead end job for a wife that views you as an ATM and kids that aren't even yours? Or maybe obsessing over pointless things like politics?
All the while being told to abandon everything that makes you happy because it's "Childish"
If that's what it means to be an adult, then I'll happily remain a child, and if I can't do that, then I'll just unsubscribe from life cause it wouldn't be worth living anymore.

I just don't want the hassle of someone who doesn't know how deep the levels of degeneracy go.

I know very few girls into anime/gaming, but it's never been a problem finding someone I get along with.

I have gotten my girl to like some anime, and sometimes she likes to watch me play video games. She's never had a problem with me having my hobbies.

So it's less about finding someone who is into anime and more about someone who isn't gonna be judgmental about your hobbies?
