A cheater won’t likely tell you. You need to date them and tease out their character by how they talk and act. Also, be communicative. Once you’re close enough, ask them about their values. If they say things such as fidelity or loyalty without being prompted, you know you have a winner.

Just ask directly (not that you’ll get a honest answer) but you can usually tell through their actions- hiding their phone around you, checking out other people in front of you, etc

Use reverse psychology. Tell her you cheated in your past relationships. Not every one of them just the ones you knew you were going to break up with. See what her comeback is. If you like what her answer is, tell her you're just kidding.

It is just a general question about anyone I am dating. No one in particular I've dated/dating. I just hear so many sad stories, so it just makes me wonder overall.

Well starting something with someone without trusting is not how it should be anon, but it's why getting to know someone a bit and picking up on some vibes before dating can be important 🙂
