We text a bit too (after he asked for my phone number, we work together so we can talk professionally on our work chat program too) but when I respond positively to him implying we should get drinks he stops responding. Happens with other of the more obvious flirty stuff I say. But he specifically asked for my number and for coffee. But I get flirty (just subtly, nothing crude) and he stops responding. We work together so I don’t want to make something of nothing.

i wouldn’t say he’s testing you, it he probably is curious about your lines/boundaries and didn’t know how to open that dialogue so that was his way of doing so.

Sounds like he might want to move slow. Especially if you guys work together. What takes off fast crash and burns just as quick. You should be moving at a slower pace than him not the other way around.
