Are there any men left who are old school? Like dress well for the first date like business casual? Or am I asking too much?

Yes, there are such men out there. I dressed business casual or wore a suit for first dates depending on the venue and what I could gather about the woman from the dating profile. My current girlfriend was more casual than I was, but that’s okay.
