Why do old dudes like checking me out?

Every time when I'm in places where lots of people are (e.g. CBD) it seems like all the much older guys check me out. (By older I mean 35-50 year old). I get stared and smiled at very often esp. when I'm by myself. I've rarely been stared at or approached by guys around my age. what do I do wrong?

I am 20yr old. I don't look that old believe me. I dress normally. I like to wear clothes that look feminine (e.g. sun dresses, maxi dresses, heels). I wear little make up, have long black hair and a slim body. Sounds normal right?

So older guys in here if you are 30+, what do you see attractive in younger girls?

I know exactly what you mean. Mind you, I get told I look young but act older, and older guys end up being the ones approaching me for dates. I don't think age should matter all the time, but when there's more than 10 years difference that's a whole lot of life experiences that won't match up.

But (yeah, sorry for the self-indulgent tangent) I think looking can be taken as a compliment, regardless of age. It sounds like lots of guys would be checking you out, but maybe guys around your age are a little shy of someone like you (ie you sound like you'd look lovely) so you don't notice them looking as much.

Thanks to all the guys that have given answers so far, it's refreshing to have some insights about this, like the openness with age concept never really crossed my mind before! :)

im 18, and I have that same problem, except I am told by many people that I look younger. I get approached by guys my age, but if I'm just walking down the street, its only older men that look.

this happens to me too..i don't get looked at by guys my own age, but older ones..they adore me, I don't know why it's that way - maybe more appreciation for interesting beauty? I don't know

We older guys have learned something about youth... it's hot.

Also, we have far less nervousness about expressing our desires. The younger guys are still worried about making the wrong impression, worried about coming across wrong, etc.

So yes, older guys can be creepy (when they see you as a piece of meat) but on the odd occasion they can also provide a more mature experience.

Either way, don't take it personally. You're probably cute and guys of all ages will like that.. except the older guys will sometimes forget themselves and turn creepy.

I think twenty year old girls are wasted on twenty year old guys. Those guys have no idea what they have.

Seriously, though, we look because you're pretty. We are obvious about it because we don't care what you think about us (to a point). I try not to be blatent about my looking because that can be creepy and threatening. But I do enjoy making eye contact and smiling. Partly because I'm a friendly guy. Partly because I want people (especially pretty girls) to feel good about themselves and have a good day.

They see the same thing any guy your age sees... an attractive young girl, the common thought is that women don't age that well, whereas men are supposed to get better looking as they get older. Not always true, but older guys will always like youger girls. As creepy as that seems. It's just how it is... you don't flick through FHM and see 50 year old moms dominating the charts, you see girls like Megan Fox the whole way through it and they aren't exactly old yet. I think it's seen as womens beauty hitting it's peak.

MOst of us older dudes check out ALL the women of whatever age. Don't think you're special!

Especially if you wear sun dresses and heels that show off your body...the only difference is that older women are less likely to show off as much

Also, these days, if you're slim, that makes you STAND OUT in the crowd a lot!

Who are you kidding here? You're LOOKING for attention! I'm sure the young guys are looking as well...but the younger guys tend just be more inhibited about it, so maybe you don't notice it as much.

Personally I love checking out older slim women...more than the younger ones!

This is what I've told my wife: If I were married to the most beautiful girl on the planet I'd still check out other girls, and my wife is beautiful; I adore her.

Nonetheless, younger guys will check you out with stealth. Older guys, we don't care. We've not embarassed to look at a girl and smile. Young guys have soft egos; they hurt easily. Older guys have tough egos; we've been shot down so many times we really just don't care. We smile at you for the hell of it.

I'm not that attracted to young girls. Usually if I see a mom and daughter walking together it's the mom I check out. Women my own age have a head full of knowledge, rather than a head full of empty.

It could be that you dress like a girl. A lot of young women these days are in jeans and shirts. A woman in a dress is a refreshing blast from the past. Try dressing like a dyke and see if that gets you what you want.

Older people can't help but have more experiences but most people never learn. So really, you can't always count on a head full of knowledge in older people. But to say someone young has a head full of empty? That's ridiculous.

Studies have shown that the most attractive age determined by either sex is in the teens. When you get older you will still find younger guys attractive and might even become a cougar the down side is the emotional immaturity...
