How do you know that you want to be with them for the rest of your life unless you date them?
I have to with someone for a long time before I know them well enough to know I want to spend the rest of my life with them. I mean, marriage for me is a one time thing. I don't even think about marriage when I start dating a girl. She has to grow on me. I have to be absolutely sure she's the one because there are no do overs.
There's no point in dating if you are not doing so to find the person with whom you want to spend the rest of your life with.
Unless you actually start dating (going out) someone, then you're never going to know, are you?
