Is it ok to date for a year someone I don't see a future with?

We've been dating for 5 months now, he already asked me to move in to see how things go.

Unaware, I'm agreeing to it precisely for that.. I don't see a future with him. I'm just dating him. I go traditional on a guy I actually see a future with and not just ''see how it all goes''. I'm going to break up eventually. With him, I just want to date to date.

He talks negatively about things I care about. Within me he's already been judged as someone I'll never have a future with. But I'm still too young myself so I'll just date him for a year and then dump him afterwards.

If he's unaware, then you're using him. How would you feel if you invested in someone, only to realize after a year you were just being used? If you don't like what you see, keep looking. Don't treat people differently than you'd want to be treated.

He never wants a family meanwhile my reply was that for the meantime (not permanently) I was on the same page because I'm too young but would like you one day when I'm older. I'm assuming he will eventually figure out this relationship isn't going to last permanently.

Never base a relationship on assumptions. When those assumptions aren't met, people tend to get bitter and resentful. What have you got to lose by just being clear?

Instead of wasting time, be clear with him and quit the relationship. That's better for both of you.

It's just that I'm just 19 at this moment. I'm not ready for kids yet. If I get with a family oriented guy, he probably won't wait till I'm 24-25 to decide on forming a family. This is why I'm dating guys like him for the meantime but I'm assuming he probably knows I don't want to be in a ''forever childless relationship''.
When he told me about never wanting kids, I replied that was ok with it for the meantime but I do want kids when I get older. I'm just ok with it for now because I feel too young at this moment.

I have a feeling he knows what he must be getting into. He never wants a family and my reply to that was that I was on the same page for the meantime but I do want a family when I get older. I'm not in his ''never'' stance. By logic, he probably knows this relationship is going to end up in a break-up eventually. I'm just 19 and obviously not thinking about kids now... that's why I'm dating to date. After I turn 24, that's when I'll start thinking about going traditional with someone I see a future with.

I assume he probably knows this will end in a break-up anyways. He doesn't ever want a family anyways (my replied to that was an ''I'm too young now but I would like you one day. For the meantime I'l ok with how things are'') and he spoke negatively of things I care about.

What you assume and what he thinks might very well be two entirely different things... Perhaps it would be best for you to be open and honest with him from the beginning.
