Talking - Long Distance?

A friend of mine I met about 9 years ago lives abroad and we have kept in touch from time to time over the years. We hung out a few times before I left (2 were dates, he had asked me out). I was recently thinking about trying to see if there could be something there but I feel kind of silly because why would he want anything to do with me being in another country, although recently I have been thinking to relocate there for work one day. I'm not sure, I may be overthinking the situation. What's your take on this? Any related experience/situation?

Well I think that would all depend on what is worth it to you and if this person has strong feelings for you enough for it to be worth all the effort, it would suck very badly if you put all that effort for it to just end up being a crush he had on you and he meets someone else for example, is say if you are going too, make sure this guy is on the same page and I recommend getting to the stage of y'all speaking about other dates and stuff before you actually move there, he could simply not be as into you as you are into him so speak and make sure the feelings are there.
