Depends what your goal is. Likes are pretty irrelevant if you're trying to meet a woman for a monogamous relationship. Now, if it's a hookup you want, then, yeah, likes are an important metric.

Many likes are fake to promote the purchase of premium accounts on dating sites. Rather pointless to look at likes as something.

I've used dating apps and honestly I didn’t see one profile that seemed like a scam. Not a single one. They all looked very real actually. Not one messaged me asking for money either
