Why are some good-looking, wealthy and confident men single for a while? Even though they are actively looking for love?

I am wary of a man I met who seems dreamy, he has got it all: the looks, the confidence, the social status, the wealth, he is 36 and acts towards me as though he is ready to settle. He has never disrespected me and treats me like a princess. Even my dad loves him. However, he confessed he never had a girlfriend ever and used to be into casual sex.

My question is: How come? Do high-value men not settle when they have the option to do otherwise? Why did he seem to decide to settle down now since he is still very attractive despite his age? Is it a potential red flag?

He might have been into casual sex when younger because he thought that was where he'd find fulfillment or happiness. Now he understands what a big nothing it all was, and worse that he never acquired the social skill set for a real relationship.
