Why don't they ask women out or prusue? I've been single almost 8 years. I'm attractive, have standards and I put myself out there. I've even asked a a few guys online or at events, only a couple and it never turned out good!

Translation: I want a top 5% guy, and will settle for nothing less. And I think I deserve it because of my career and income and degrees, and because I want the best qualities of every man I've dated with none of the bad ones. And I have zero understanding of what those men want, or what my own worth is on the sexual marketplace.

You had your chance to get a top 5% guy (not that many women get one of those for anything but casual sex, but you had your chance), but that chance was when you were in your early 20s. At that age, you had, by far, the most options and the best options that would ever be available to you. What did you do with that opportunity? Well, at this point, it doesn't matter.

What you have to be realistic about now is that you aren't in your 20s anymore - you are, presumably, in your late 30s or early 40s. You're expecting to get new-car prices for the old car that you're selling that has 250,000 miles and lots of wear and damage on it, and can't figure out why no one is buying.

You can still have a relationship, but you need to re-calibrate your expectations significantly. Or, get yourself some pets and tell yourself that you're happy being alone.

Also, in my 20's, I mostly focused on my schooling/college education.
